Version 0.1.1 · Reviewed 2026-08-05

Pilot License Manager for WooCommerce Pro 0.1.1 connects native WooCommerce orders to self-hosted software license issuance.

Key Features

  • Enable licensing for simple products and parent products used by variations.
  • Use imported inventory or automatically generate keys.
  • Issue one key per purchased unit on Processing or Completed orders.
  • Deliver keys in customer emails, order details, and My Account.
  • Activate, validate, and deactivate through a public REST API.
  • Revoke keys when orders are Cancelled, Failed, or Refunded.
  • Encrypt keys at rest with AES-256-GCM when OpenSSL is available.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.2 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer
  • WooCommerce 7.0 or newer
  • HTTPS strongly recommended for API traffic

How Licensing Works

A licensed product uses available inventory first. If none exists and automatic generation is enabled, the plugin generates a key. The key is assigned to the order item, activated as a license record, and shown to the customer.

Product Configuration

Use the product General panel to enable licensing and set the activation limit, validity in days, prefix, and automatic generation.

License Generation and Delivery

Keys can be imported individually in WooCommerce → Pilot Licenses or generated automatically. Issued keys appear in Processing and Completed customer emails.
